The Orchard
This past winter and spring, there was so much rain. The abundance of rain brought forth some amazing spring flowers. I decided I would share some of my favorite photos from this past spring.
Living in the San Joaquin Valley, there are orchards minutes from my home. I love taking the opportunity to snap some photos in the 2-3 weeks that the blossoms are in full bloom.
One of my favorite photo techniques is to hold some blossoms at the corner of the lens. I loved this little glimpse of these sweet sisters. I enjoyed how the tone of the flowers made baby Penny’s skin look so pretty.

The only sad part of the blossoms is they only last for several weeks. I always wish I was more organized and took more in the small window.
Cute Amy playing with her daughters Ellie and Penny.
Capturing real moments of Joy are what taking pictures is all about.
At the very end of the blossom season. I decided to take a few shots of my daughter lauren and her husband Mason.
Wild Flowers
There were so many fields covered in these spectacular yellow and white wildflowers.
I loved getting pictures of my daughter Heather, her husband Eric, and their spunky baby Lucy Rose while they were visiting from Utah.
This baby brings so much Joy and spunk to all of our lives.
More Wild Flower Pictures
Since these fields were still so pretty, I decided to snap more pictures on my daughter Amy’s children. Around Easter, we went to the field and let them explore.
The kids were in Heaven, running through the fields. I felt kind of bad that they knocked some flowers down, and then just a few days later I drove by, and the flowers were all mowed down.
Flowers and kids were blowing in the wind, perfection.
The sweetest little blue eyed girl and her big brother.
Children love being outside playing. It’s so enjoyable to have my camera handy to capture these moments.
A few More wild Flower pictures
My last opportunity to shoot with the flowers was with the Johnson family. I met them in Madera where they live and we were able to get some beautiful end of the day sunflare photos in the wild flowers.
I wish these flowers lasted longer than a few weeks. But, I was so happy with some of the photos I was able to take in the short window of blossoms and blooms.
