Amy’s Baby Shower and baby Penny!

I’m sharing a few details of the baby shower I helped give for Amy, my daughter, several months ago. Amys cute friends Jackie and Julie wanted my help in showering Amy with some pre-baby spoiling.

Jackie found these cute graphics from the Alison show that we used for the invitation and decorations at the event.  Jackie also provided some of her beautiful cookies that she creates.  Check her out on Instagram at @crane.creates.

I decided to use a black table cloth as the base, and then I found this table runner, cloth napkin (in the rolls basket), and greenery from the Magnolia section at Target.  Jackie provided the pineapples that worked so well with the graphics.

I added some silver accent pieces for a little extra texture.

Jackie and Julie provided these small recycled milk jars.  They added a single rose to each jar for a favor for the guests to take home.  This also made a stunning addition to the decorations.

The jars ready for their diet Dr. Pepper, Amy’s favorite drink.

Julie provided the homemade Chinese Chicken salad and the best orange rolls I have ever tasted.

I thought I would only have one of these rolls.  They were too delicious only to eat one.

Cute Jackie was working away to make everything so pretty and delicious.

I loved having the opportunity to spoil Amy, my oldest daughter.  It was also a wonderful opportunity to get my creative juices flowing.

I also thought I would add to this post a few of the pictures I took of Amy a few weeks before her baby was born.

She is a beautiful mom to be, and she makes being pregnant look pretty easy.

Lastly, this post wouldn’t be complete without showing a few pictures of Penny Mae Clevenger born on October 26, 2018.  Amy ended up having a C-section, and I had the privilege of being there when she was born.  She is such a sweet addition to our family.

These pictures were taken when Penny was about two weeks old.

Mother and daughter hold a cherished place in my heart.  I have loved being a mom and being a grandma to the sweetest baby is icing on the cake.
